Arthur Hays Buenning, 77, died an Thursday, July 16, at his home in Decatur.
He was born Nov. 23, 1942, in Fayetteville, to Norman and Jessamine Buenning. Hays was drafted into the Army in 1966 and served in Vietnam. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, family, and was faithful to his church. He and Diane enjoyed several trips across the U.S. during retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and by his aunt and uncle, Bonnie and Vernon Buenning.
Hays is survived by his wife, Diane; his sons, Robert of Decatur, and Travis and his wife Carlotta of Decatur; his brother, Richard Johnson and wife Sherry of Nevada, Iowa; his sister, Vivian Jones and husband Russell of Rogers; his grandchildren, Katelyn Bohl, Jerrimia Buenning, Majorieann Bohl, Skyler Settle, and Elizabeth Buenning; and one great-grandchild, Ezra Buenning.
A celebration of life graveside service is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, at the Decatur Cemetery. Arrangements by Epting Funeral Home of Gravette.
