Martha Lee Parker, 77 of Star City, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2020 at CHI St. Vincent in Hot Springs. She was born May 20, 1943 in Pine Bluff to the late Paul L. Barnes, Sr. and Murriel Dobbs Barnes. She was a member of St. Ollie Missionary Baptist Church; loved serving her Lord and her grandchildren; loved crafting and was a homemaker. Also preceding her in death were 2 brothers, Jethro Barnes and Jonathan Barnes. Survivors include her son (during union with Abe Parker, Jr.), Abe Parker, III of San Diego, CA; 3 daughters (during union with Cirlee Moland), Audrey Marshall of Star City, Angie L. Moland of Dolton, IL and Curre L. Moland of Star City; 7 brothers, Paul L. Barnes, Jr. of Overland Park, KS, Thomas Barnes of Kansas City, KS, John (Lillie) Barnes of Junction City, KS, Immanuel (Ernestine) Barnes of Kansas City, KS, Sam Barnes of Kansas City, KS, Walter Barnes of Kansas City, MO, and Nathaniel (Brenda) Barnes of Kansas City, KS; 4 sisters, Classie Barnes of Olathe, KS, Hattie Barnes of Junction City, KS, Mattie Hall Barnes of Denton, TX and Ruby Barnes of Kansas City, KS; 9 grandchildren, Antoine, Patrice, Michelle, Lachelle, Jimontai, Johnathan, Marla, Lamar and one unknown; and 4 great-grandchildren. Graveside services are 11:00AM Saturday at St. Ollie Cemetery with Rev. Melvin Harrison officiating. Visitation is 9:30-10:30AM at Griffin Funeral Service, with only 50 people in the funeral home at a time and masks are required. Arrangements by Griffin Funeral Service in Star City.
