R. COLLINS OF LINCOLN KILLED BY LIGHTNING

Robert Collins of near Lincoln, Clyde neighborhood, was struck by lightning and instantly killed Sunday morning during an electrical storm.

Mr. Collins had left his home after breakfast to look after his stock and when he failed to return at noon his family became uneasy. When night came a search was started and his lifeless body was found under a tree where he had evidently taken shelter from a shower. From appearances a bolt of lightning struck the tree causing Mr. Collins' instant death. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon by Rev. Mr. Napier with interment in Beaty Cemetery, in charge of the Masonic Lodge.
