December 28, 1928 - August 3, 2015
Jessie James Harris, 86, of Malvern, passed away on Monday, Aug. 3, 2015 at Baptist Health HSC.
He was born in Chidester, AR on Dec. 31, 1928. He worked for Acme Brick Co. 12yrs. & Reynolds Aluminum for 16yrs. He was also a licensed sewer/septic tank installer and deacon at New Director Baptist Church in Perla.
He was preceded by parents Jessie James Harris, Sr. and Rose Anna Gary-Harris; spouse, Patricia Burns; brother, Nute Harris; sister, Viola Hicks; son, Jesse Harris Jr; granddaughter, Jasmine Ollison, and sister-in-law, NormaJean Harris.
He is survived by five sons: Canaan Harris, Houston, TX; Allen "Skip"(Yuvonda) Harris, Killeen, TX; Billy Harris, Bakersfield, CA; David and Michael Harris,Malvern, AR; nine daughters: Rose(David) Meza, San Diego, CA; Sherry Amos and Sheila Harris, Bakerfield, CA; Patricia and MaKisha Harris, Malvern, AR; Nashay Harris, Los Angeles, CA; LaTonya Harris and Alisha Erby(Ricky), Hot Springs, AR & Suzanne Nash, Camden, AR; four brothers: Ed and NoahLee Harris, Camden, AR; Roosevelt Harris, Kansas City, MO & FreddieLee Harris, Eldorado, AR; two step-children: Charlotte Rennekamp(Troy), Cincinnati, OH & Christopher Lowman(Felicia), Malvern, AR and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial service will be at FBC on 220 Vine in Malvern 8-14-15 from 6-8pm.
Viewing will be on Sat., Aug. 15 from 12-1pm and funeral services 1pm at First Union Baptist Church, Rev. Frank Dawn officiating, interment at Eternal Rest Cemetery all in Camden.
