Keith Edward "Big Thunder" Bailey, age 46, of Murfreesboro, died Wednesday, November 2, 2011, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on June 14, 1965, at Murfreesboro, the son of Jim Bailey and Wanda Morrow Bailey.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Otis and Vena Bailey; and his maternal grandparents, Gordon and Lucille Morrow.
A truck driver by trade, Keith, better known as "Big Thunder", drove over three million miles on our nation's highways without a single accident. He was a member of the Marlbrook Baptist Church in Blevins.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Bailey of Murfreesboro; his parents, Jim and Wanda Bailey of Roy; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Michelle "Missy" and Leo Davis of Nashville, Jimmie "Misty" and Michael Hughes of Nashville and Mary and Charlie Coleman of Roy; seven nieces and nephews, Kaitlin Davis, Bailey White, Levi Hughes, Dale White, Lane Hughes, Hunter Davis and Mason Davis; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Keith would always say that in this lifetime, he was a truck driver. He drove all over the United States but he would always come home. Now, he has truly gone home!
Services will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, November 4, 2011, in the Marlbrook Baptist Church with Bro. Jerry Hill and Bro. Bobby Powers officiating.
Visitation will be held on Friday, 1:00 PM until service time at the church.
Interment will be in the Pike City Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Jordan, Tracy White, Charlie Morrow, Steve Ward, Kenny Hill, Michael Bailey, Scott Bailey and Shane Bailey.
Honorary pallbearers will be Derrick Zumwalt, Gary Stevens, Bro. Bobby Powers, Billy Smith, Jimmy Rhodes, Ricky Bailey, Leo Davis, Charlie Coleman and Michael Hughes.
Memorials may be made to the Pike City Cemetery Association, c/o The Bank of Delight, P.O. Box 68, Delight, Arkansas, 71940.
