Monty Eugene Cox, age 49, of Murfreesobro, died on Sunday, March 27, 2011 at Howard Memorial Hospital in Nashville, Arkansas.
He was born on January 1, 1962 in Murfreesboro, AR, the son of E.C. "Shorty" and Bessie (York) Cox.
Mr. Cox was a logger.
He was preceded in death by his father, E.C. "Shorty" Cox.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Rebecca Cox of the home; three daughters, Monica Teel and husband, Jason of Pike City, AR, Misty Walters and husband, Lacy of Antoine, AR, and Cassondra Cox and Dustin Brewer of Pike City, AR; five grandchildren, Jacob Teel, Michelle Walters, Tyler Brewer, Jackson Teel, and Landon Walters; his mother, Bessie Cox of Pike City, AR; Six brothers, Conrad Cox and wife, Eva of Nathan, AR and Ronnie Cox and wife, Susan of Delight, AR; Ricky Cox and wife, Wanda of Nashville, AR, Charles Cox and wife, Lorenda of Pike City, AR, Tony Cox and wife Missy of Murfreesboro, AR, and Jimmy Cox and wife, Stephanie of Delight, AR; two sisters, Brenda Harsh and husband, Dennis of Pike City, AR, and Kim Dixon of Pike City, AR. Many other relatives and friends mourn his passing.
Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at the First Christian Church in Murfreesboro, AR with Brother Don Lane officiating.
Burial will follow in Pike City Cemetery in Pike City, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home of Murfreesboro.
