On December 13, 1952 in Camden, Arkansas, W.C. (Dub) and Mable McRae Armstrong welcomed their fourth child, David. On March 17, 2021, David was welcomed into Heaven to live with our Lord. Those completing the journey before him include his aforementioned parents; his siblings, James Edward Armstrong, and a infant brother; paternal and maternal grandparents; George and Annie Armstrong and Ellen and Thomas McRae. David attended Lincoln High School and later integrated with Camden High School, where he graduated from. David was instilled by his parents with a strong work ethic and found employment with LTV, now known as Lockheed Martin. Later David joined his dad in the sawmill and pulpwood business as self-employed logger. On September 5, 1985 David married his wife, Theresa Mills and from this union was blessed with one daughter, Shasta Ellen Armstrong Elliott and a step-son. David loved visiting his family and friends in the neighborhood, walking to the end of the street and wave at every car that passed by, playing dominos and fishing with his brother-in-law, Luther Charles; watching his favorite team the “Arkansas Razorbacks” play. David was a member of Bethel A.M.E. Church; loved to visit other churches in the community. He loved and knew the Lord.

These left to continue his legacy and cherish his memories include his wife of 35 years, Theresa Armstrong; daughters, Shasta Armstrong Elliott (Jonanthan) of Little Rock, Valerie White of Las Vegas, Nevada, Naklia Locckhart of Camden, Arkansas; one son, Strattney Anderson; step-son, Vincent Mills both of Camden, Arkansas; sisters, Mary Hawkins (Luther), Kathy Fletcher (Jerry) both of Camden, Arkansas, Denise Turner (Charles) of Sherwood, Arkansas, Sandra Larry of Little Rock, Arkansas, Cynthia Sanders (Thomas), Patricia Armstrong of Las Vegas, Nevada; eleven grandchildren, one great-grandchild; nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

Visitation will be 5:00-7:00PM Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Proctor Funeral Home. Graveside service will be 11:00AM Friday, March 26, 2021 at Eternal Rest Cemetery, Camden, AR. Pastor Gregory Nettles officiating.
