FARMINGTON — Neda Isabell Moore, 91, of Farmington died Dec. 3, 2009, at Washington Regional Medical Center. She was born Dec. 5, 1917, in Nowata, Okla., to Leonard and Agnes Heckathorn.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Moore; one daughter, Catherine L. Denham; five brothers; and one sister.

She was a member of First Christian Church in Fayetteville and City Hospital Auxiliary. She taught ceramics and worked for Dr. Ruth Lesh and was an LPN at City Hospital and Washington Regional Hospital for many years.

After retirement Neda and her husband traveled extensively.

Survivors include one son, George W. Moore Jr. (Bill) and wife, Berthalene (Bert) of Farmington; two daughters, Ann Hart of Fayetteville and Margaret Moore of Farmington; one brother, Virgil Heckathorn and wife, Walterena, of Kansas City, Mo.; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held Dec. 7 at Moore's Chapel with the Rev. Preston Beeks officiating. Burial was in Mt. Comfort Cemetery.

George William Moore Sr., 77, of Farmington, died Sunday, May 21, 1995, at his residence. Born July 19, 1917, at Mount Comfort Community, the son of John S. and Lucy Sanders Moore, he was owner and operator of Auto Glass
and Mirror Shop for over 30 years. He was a member of the Exchange Club, affiliated with the Boy Scouts of America for 15 years, and Elder Emeritus of the First Christian Church.

Survivors are his wife, Neda Heckathorn Moore of the home; a son, George William "Bill" Moore Jr. of Farmington; two daughters, Ann Hart of Farmington and Margaret Moore of Fayetteville; a brother, Lewis Moore of New Haven, Ind.; a sister, Marjorie Ann Brown of Fayetteville; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Service is at 3 p.m. Tuesday at First Christian Church with Dr. James D. Johnson and the Rev. Preston Beeks officiating. Burial is in Mount Comfort Cemetery.

Visitation is from 3 to 7 p.m. today at Moore's Chapel.
