FAYETTEVILLE — Mildred Cannon Lavender, 91, of Fayetteville died March 27, 2002, in Springdale. She was born Jan. 21, 1911, in Mount Comfort to William Roswell and Fairie Cunningham Cannon. She was treasurer of the Lavender Construction Co., was a homemaker and was a Presbyterian.

Survivors include one daughter, Faye L. Doege of Prairie Grove; two sons, Jerry M. Lavender of Oklahoma City, Okla., and William T. Lavender of New Orleans, La.; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Mount Comfort Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Mount Comfort Cemetery.

Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. today at Nelson's Funeral Home in Fayetteville. The family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m.
