Lorayne Leona Wayt, 75 year old resident of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, died on August 31, 2020 at her home. She was born on September 14, 1944 in Vilas, Colorado to George Hanson and Bessie Wofford. Lorayne moved to Siloam Springs in 1981 from Colcord, Oklahoma. She worked many jobs over the years, but spent most of her time as a homemaker taking care of her children. Lorayne had been attending Stateline Baptist Church in West Siloam Springs, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by son, Richard Floyd Wayt; her parents; two sisters; and three brothers.
She is survived by six children: Tammie Wayt and wife Webb of Siloam Springs, Christopher Dean Wayt of Los Angeles, California, Patricia McClelland and husband Clyde of West Siloam Springs, Oklahoma, Billie Jo Hippey and husband Samuel of Siloam Springs, Michelle Moss and husband Mark of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and Jamie Wayt of Siloam Springs; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandbaby; one brother; and her longtime companion, Jessie Duncan.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 4, 2020 at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs, with Pastor Craig Ingram officiating. Burial will follow at Decatur Cemetery in Decatur, Arkansas. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 3, 2020 at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs. For the visitation and funeral, guests will be limited to 150 people and everyone will be required to wear their own facemask, per the guidelines set forth by the State of Arkansas.
