Joni Joyce James, 53, of Hot Springs, and formerly of Bentonville, Ark., died April 3, 2020 at Arkansas Hospice in Hot Springs, Ark. Joni was born March 4, 1967 in Rogers, Ark., to Will and Vickie Garrigus James.
Joni was a graduate of the 1985 class of Bentonville High School. She continued her education at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville in Business.
Throughout Joni's life, she enjoyed farming, gardening, fishing, playing card and dice games, riding motorcycles, caring for her dogs and finding great antiques at auctions, garage sales and flea markets. She loved being with and visiting her many great friends.
Joni is survived by her fiancé, Curtis Anderson of Hot Springs; her sister and brother-in-law, Scott and Debra James Greenawalt; two nephews, Nash James and Parker Greenawalt; an uncle and aunt, Mel and Yvonne James; and her step-mother, Mickey James, all of Bentonville and many cousins.
Private services will be held at Hart Cemetery in Bentonville. An event celebrating Joni's life will be announced at a later date.
