Lisa Gail Ables Carson, 53, of Hampton died Sunday September 18, 2016 at her home. Born January 18, 1963 at El Dorado, she was a daughter of Wanda Strickland Russell of Hampton and the late Earl Vernon Ables. She was a homemaker and was known as Lisa Mama or Maw Maw to many children in the community. She was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her mother, Wanda; two sons, William Ben Newton of El Dorado, K.C. Carson of Hampton; one daughter, Stephanie Slaughter and husband Ryan of Warren; one sister, Kerry Jo Ables Pennington and husband James of El Dorado; four grandchildren, Carson Slaughter, Eva Slaughter, Will Newton and Maddax Newton; a niece, Preslee Pennington and a nephew, Cole Hannegan. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Hampton First Assembly of God. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Hampton First Assembly of God with Rev. Rickey Smith and Rev. Jeff Piker officiating. Burial will follow at Campground Cemetery. Arrangements are by Benton Funeral Home of Hampton/Fordyce.
