November 20, 1879 - March 21, 1981
Mrs. Vera Annie Rowland, aged 101, died Saturday. Mrs. Rowland, daughter of the late Newt and Margaret Mayfield, was born November 20, 1879 in Calhoun Co. She was the widow of the late Charles B. Rowland and a member of Camp Ground Presbyterian Church. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Carmen Howard of Camden; five grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held March 23 at Camp Ground Presbyterian Church with burial in the Camp Ground Cemetery. (South Arkansas Accent - March 26, 1981)
