Charles A. Tomlinson, 69 of Hampton died Sunday, August 3, 2008 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born May 5, 1939 in Hampton, Arkansas. Charles owned and operated Tomlinson's Grocery Store in Hampton for many years and was also active in the Lion's Club. Charles was an avid Boston Red Sox and Arkansas Razorback Fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, A.G. Tomlinson and Louise Tomlinson Bryant, son, Jerrell C. Rowland, II and daughter-in-law, Tina Swofford Rowland. He is survived by his wife, Melba Tomlinson of Hampton; son, Greg Tomlinson of Hampton; daughters and sons-in-law, April and Bo Bevis of Cabot, Melody and Daniel Brignac of Benton, LA; sister, Betty Walker of Hampton; grandchildren, Tommy Rowland and wife Lindsey, Taylor Sweeney and husband Bronson, and Katie Rowland all of Hampton, Ally and Will Bevis of Cabot, Hudson and Avery Brignac of Benton, LA; great-grandchildren, Conner Rowland and Ava Sweeney both of Hampton; and a special friend, Larry Junior of Hampton. Memorials may be made to your favorite charity. Visitation will be Tuesday 5pm until 8pm at Benton Funeral Home in Hampton. Funeral services will be 10:00am Wednesday at Campground Presbyterian Church in Hampton with Rev. Garland Skidmore and Rev. Jerry Ables officiating. Burial at Campground Cemetery.
