A Memorial Service for Donald Lee Buswell, 83, of Mountain Home, Arkansas will be 10:00 A.M., Thursday, May 30, 2013 at Kirby and Family Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Rodney Steele officiating.

Don Buswell was born on May 30th, 1929 in Alameda, California to the late Moses Colby and Ruth Hansen Buswell, and deceased on May 26th, 2013.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Anita Shoopman Buswell, two daughters, Nancy L. Buswell of Nanning, China, and the Reverend Marla Buswell Bauler (Reverend Dr. Timothy R. Bauler) of Canton, Illinois; two sons, Eric O. Buswell of North Little Rock, and Kenneth C. Buswell of Fayetteville, Georgia; and three grandchildren, Timothy Jr. (Lindsey), Erin and Stuart Bauler.

Mr. Buswell graduated from the University of California Berkeley and served four years in the Army during the Korean conflict. He retired from the Pulaski County Special School District in Little Rock, in 1994, where he was the Assistant Director of Management Information Systems. He was a resident of Mountain Home for 19 years and a member of First United Methodist Church.

Following the memorial service, a scattering service will be at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas. Military honors will be provided by the Alley-White American Legion Post #3246 Honor Guard.

Memorial Gifts can be made to Heifer International and the Baxter County Library.

Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral Home.
