Roy E. Thompson, age 72 of Mountain Home passed away Saturday April 16, 2016 at Baxter Regional Medical Center. He was born April 12, 1944 in Pocahontas, AR to Thurman Thompson and Gwendolyn Hodge Thompson. He married Mary Salmon on July 13, 1968 in Beliot, WI. Mr. Thompson was an Army veteran of the 82nd Airborne Division and former owner of Roy's Auto Repair. He was a member of the Riverside Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife Mary Thompson of Mountain Home; son Michael Thompson of Mountain Home; mother Gwen Thompson of Mountain Home; 4 grandchildren: Shawn Thompson of Fayetteville, Morgan Thompson of Tulsa, OK, Miriam Reed and Madison Reed, both of Tahlequah, OK; 2 sisters: Anita (Rodney) Walker of Southhaven, MI and Sandy Stevens of Gassville, AR; 3 brothers: Danny Thompson of Battlecreek, MI, Freddy Thompson of Arizona and Dean Thompson of Mountain Home. He was preceded in death by his father, a daughter Valerie Hendrix, granddaughter Hope Thompson, a sister Katheline and a brother Wayne. Visitation will be from Noon until 2 PM Wednesday April 20, 2016 at Riverside Church of Christ. A memorial service will follow at 2 PM at the church with George Salmon and Rodney Walker officiating. Interment will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery immediately following the service.

Arrangements are by Roller Funeral Home.
