David Wayne Hale, 66, of Alma passed away on Friday, January 22, 2021 at his home.
He was born September 14, 1954 in Macon, GA to Ace and Ruby (Drawhorn) Hale.
He was preceded in death by his parents; in-laws, Thel and Thelma Renfro and sister-in-law, Vicky Overbey.

He was a retired football/track coach at Alma High School and attended Mountainburg First Assembly of God. David loved fishing, hunting, and the outdoors, but above all else, his grandchildren.

Services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Ocker Chapel of Alma with interment at New Cemetery in Mulberry under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma. The service will be livestreamed on Ocker-Putman Funeral Home’s Facebook page.

Survivors include his wife, Amy of the home; daughters, Deborah Graver and husband Chris of WA and Elizabeth Wakefield and husband Ian of FL; son, Danny Ray and wife Whitney of Alma; sister, Lynn Chamblee; brother Jon Hale and; grandchildren, Delaney, Keegan and Eisley Ray “Grandpa’s biggest fans”, Erich and Madeline Graves, Briton Wakefield and Declan Wakefield.

Pallbearers will be Chad McCabe, Brycen Marvin, Devon Renfro, Bryant Renfro, Brandon Morse, Derek Overbey, Justin Treece and Russell Scoggins.
Honorary pallbearers will be Frank Vines, Kevin Edwards, Kevin Ross, Tom McMurray, Brooks Witherspoon, Lynn Hall, Eddie Corder, Jimmy Scoggins and Stan Flenor.
