Jimmy Ray Ballard died Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Merit Health-River Region Medical Center. He was 84. Mr. Ballard was born in Mulberry, Arkansas to the late Thomas and Flossie Ballard. He was a graduate of the University of Arkansas and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. Ballard had been a resident of Vicksburg since 1967 and retired from the U.S. Army, Corps of Engineers as an economist. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Vicksburg.
Mr. Ballard is survived by his wife, Linda Ballard; two daughters, Sara Sykes (Jay) and Mary Anne Starnes (Mike), both of Vicksburg; and four grandchildren: Allyson Sykes, Ryan Sykes, Tana Starnes, and Tyler Starnes.
Visitation will be 5 PM to 7 PM Friday, June 29, 2018 at Riles Funeral Home. Interment will be in New Cemetery in Mulberry, AR.
