NOEL, Mo. - Urkle Madge Walker, 80, Noel route 1, died at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday at a Grove, Okla., nursing home after a long illness.
Mrs. Walker was born March 24, 1909, at Sulphur Springs, Ark. She was a longtime Noel resident. She was employed as a nurse at Cardwell Hospital, Stella, for several years, and Gravette (Ark.) Medical Center, Gravette, Ark.
She married Orve Walker in 1932. He died in 1961.
Survivors include a son. Orvie Walker, Noel; a stepdaughter, Boonetta Davis, Noel; a brother, Bill Puryear, Noel; three sisters, Edna Logan, Noel, Mary Loveless, Cabot, Ark., and Mat Davis, address unavailable; a grandchild; and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Daniels Cemetery, near Hiwasse, Ark. The casket will be closed.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Ozark Funeral Home, Noel, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m.
