Jim Bairley, 78 of Cherokee Village passed away Saturday, April 3, 2021. He was born March 11, 1943 in Monroe, Michigan to Thomas Franklin Bairley Sr. and Elizabeth Jane Bairley. He was a retired United States Marine Corps Veteran. He served his country with two tours of duty in Vietnam and also served in Laos. He was of the Catholic faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Tom, Tim and Jon Bairley and two sisters, Barb Vondra and Mary Bairley.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Peggy Millsap Bairley of the home; two daughters, Tammie Sprinkle (Chris) of St. Charles, Missouri and Donna Delaurentis of Cave City; one brother, Ken Bairley (Rebecca) of Clinton Township, Michigan; two sisters, Martha Bairley and Cathy Bairley both of Franklin; five grandchildren, Amanda Chu (Andy), Christina Newman (Ben), Tiffany Elsner (Mack), Ciana Delaurentis and Austin Sprinkle; four great grandchildren, Aubrey Newman, Blake Newman, Ethan Chu and Miles Chu; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Oaklawn Cemetery in Batesville with Bro. Ron Canard officiating. Arrangements are by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.

Visitation will be from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in memory of Jim Bairley.
