Karen Chamberlain, age 60, of Glenwood, died Tuesday, February 19, 2013. She was born on June 7, 1952, in Sacramento, California, the daughter of Melton Boyston Lowery and Jessie Rita Thompson Lowery. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her life partner, Nort Cogburn. A member of the Hilltop Full Gospel Church, she dearly loved her church and her church family; her dog "red"; and gospel singing. Her greatest love in her life was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Catrina Chamberlain and Wendell, of Glenwood; four grandchildren, Ashley Skidmore, Patricia Mann, Russell Mann and Tyler Mann; two great-grandchildren, Mya Epperson and Trystin Cogburn; and a host of friends. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 23, 2013, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Bro. Eric Wehunt officiating. Visitation will be held Friday evening, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Newhope under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be Russell Mann, Tyler Mann, Granville Cogburn, Chris Trujillo, Matt Stafford and Dylan Wilhite. Honorary pallbearers will be her church family.
