Sherry Lynn Coursey, 59, of Gentry, died Oct. 20, 2019, at home.
She was born on March 17, 1960, in Phoenix, Ariz., to Johnny Thompson and Ivy Overton. She married Steven Coursey and worked for the Gravette Public Schools.
She was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Beverly Coursey; and two sisters.
She is survived by her husband; daughter, Cynthia Whitehead and husband Andrew of Gentry; sons, Stephen Taylor of Springdale, and Anthony Taylor and wife Jennifer of Centerton; stepdaughter, Billie Kumm and Donelson of Gentry; stepson, Bobby Coursey of Fayetteville; 30 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, John Thompson of Kansas; sisters, Ellen Hook of Gravette, Pam Wilson of Bentonville, Linda Hendren of Colcord, Okla., Karen Austin of Colcord, and Brenda Dodd of Broken Arrow, Okla.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 26, at First Baptist Church in Gentry. Burial followed at Bethel Cemetery, Gravette. Services were under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.
