Rogers — Mrs. Sophia M. Spencer, 79, a resident of Rogers for 22 years, died Tuesday in a Bentonville nursing home. She was born Oct. 4, 1885, in Zurich, Switzerland, and was a member of St. Paul's de Vincent Catholic Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Jack Holt of Rogers, Mrs. Robert West of Tulsa; a son, the Rev. Lawrence Spencer of Shawnee, Wyo., four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral will be announced by Callison's Funeral Home.
