LINCOLN — John Thomas Chambliss, 78, of Lincoln died Feb. 19, 2005, at his home. He was born July 8, 1926, at Matador, Texas, the son of William L. and Tessie Oates Chambliss.
He was a member of the Amazing Grace Fellowship. His interests included cattle, horses and reading.
He was a member of the Lincoln Riding Club and an Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife Ann Page Chambliss of the home; three sons, Ronnie Chambliss of Grove, Okla., Johnnie Chambliss of Morrow, and Rusty Chambliss of Lincoln; two daughters, Elaine Reed and Debbie Stout both of Lincoln; one brother, Charles Chambliss of Utah; two sisters, Myrtle McCoy of Lindale, Texas, and Donna Mae Eyurd of Calinte, Nev.; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors from 6 until 7 p.m. today at the Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jackie Uselton officiating. Burial will be in Beaty Cemetery in Lincoln.
Pallbearers will be Robbie Reed, Jimmy Chambliss, Justin Spear, Cody Chambliss, Bret Chambliss, Chad Chambliss, Jesse Chambliss.
