August 13, 1903 - September 20, 1971
Ben T. Venable, 68, of Bearden, formerly of Camden, died early Monday morning in the Ouachita Hospital, after a lengthy illness. Mr. Venable, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Venable, was a salesman for Bear Brand Roofing Company Inc., of Bearden, and an active member of the First Methodist Church at Bearden. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rosalyn Sloan Venable; one son, John T. Venable of Philadelphia, Pa.; one sister, Mrs. Leo Perdue of Louann; one brother, F. R. Venable of Little Rock, and one granddaughter Joanne Venable. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Methodist Church of Bearden with burial in Moss Cemetery. Benton of Fordyce is in charge of arrangements. (Camden News - September 20, 1971)
