March 11, 1904 - October 17, 1966
Mrs. Melville Beatrice Dopson, wife of Cleo Dopson of Bearden died in a local hospital Monday morning. She had lived in Camden for many years moving to Bearden about 10 years ago. She is survived by her husband, two sons, Marquette Brown of Phoenix, Ariz., Joe Brown of El Pado, Texas, one daughter Mrs. Margaret Lowery of Venezuela, South America, one stepdaughter Ann Rasmussen of Ft. Worth, Texas, two sisters, Evelyn Fore of Houston, Texas and Gertha Kidd of McGehee, 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the First Baptist Church at Bearden. Burial will be in Moss Cemetery. The body will lie in state in the Camden Funeral Home until Thursday and will be taken to the church at 1 p.m. (Camden News - October 18, 1966)
