William T. Martin, aged 80, died Sunday at a Little Rock hospital. He was born in Ouachita County, "Uncle Tom" as he was so often called, lived most of his life at Eagle Mills and later moved to Little Rock. Mr. Martin is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ida Martin and four sons and four daughters: Bob, Eagle Mills, Jack, Cullendale, Joe, United States Army, Hugh, Little Rock; Mrs. Dave Arnold, Bearden, Mrs. Annie Lowry, Mrs. Hazel Jones, Mrs. Lonnie Henthorne all of Little Rock; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren also survived. Funeral services were held this afternoon at 3 p.m., at the Bearden Baptist Church. Burial followed in Moss Cemetery. Proctors Funeral Home was in charge. (Camden News - June 19, 1950)
