Elbert Jacob (Ebb) Reed, 79, Lincoln, died Nov. 17 in a Fayetteville hospital. Born Jan. 15, 1896, at Dutch Mills, he was the son of Charles R. and Anna Luginbuel Reed and a retired farmer and livestock dealer. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the American Legion and VFW.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Cora McGill Reed of the home; one son, Fount Reed, Lincoln; three daughters, Mrs. Daisy Compassi, Muskogee, Okla., Mrs. Amalea Snodgrass, Lincoln, and Mrs. Ann Moore, Oklahoma City, Okla.; one sister, Mrs. Orpha Allen, Siloam Springs; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Summers Community Church with the Rev. Ralph Thiesse officiating. Burial will be in White Rock Cemetery under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home of Lincoln.
