PRAIRIE GROVE — Jack Allison Reed, 67, of Prairie Grove died Dec. 1, 1999, at his home. He was born Feb. 28, 1932, in Qualls, Okla., to Clyde Raymond and Ruth Elizabeth Bacon Reed. He was an accomplished musician and won the American Fiddle Championship at age 22 in Compton, Calif., while he was stationed with the Navy at Long Beach, Calif. He was notified on Nov. 27 that his "Leather Britches" was named FAME's Instrumental Performance of the Year for 1999. He also performed at bluegrass festivals throughout the nation. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Lincoln and enjoyed squirrel hunting and deer hunting.

Survivors include his wife, Oleta Shannon Reed of the home; three sons, Jack Allison Reed Jr. of Prairie Grove, Paul Douglas Reed of Natural Dam and Roger Leslie Reed of Prairie Grove; one daughter, Anita June Thompson of Lincoln; five brothers, Clarence Reed of Lincoln, Albert Reed and Donald Reed, both of Siloam Springs, Alfred
"Shug" Reed of Rheas Mill and Harvey Reed of Goodman, Mo.; two sisters, Barbara Atha of Westville, Okla., and Minnie Fielding of Fort Worth, Texas; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today at Beaty Cemetery in Lincoln. Arrangements are by Luginbuel Funeral Home of Prairie Grove.

Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Kurt Reed, Kyle Reed, Kasey Reed, Roger Reed, Dustin Reed, Larry Bowen and Billy Rochier.

Honorary pallbearers will be Nikki Rochier, Brandi Bowen, Joshua Reed. Christina Reed, Destinee Thompson and Jada Thompson.

EVANSVILLE — Oleta Marie Reed, 79, a resident of Evansville, passed away Dec. 24, 2015, in Evansville. She was born Aug. 10, 1936, in Clyde, Ark., the daughter of Lacy Tolbert and Pearl Mae Hurst Shannon.

Oleta was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Lincoln.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jack A. Reed Sr., one son Jack A. Reed Jr. and one brother Cecil Shannon.

Survivors include two sons, Paul Reed and wife, Pat, of Natural Dam and Roger Reed and wife, Diane, of Prairie Grove; one daughter, Anita Winningham and husband, Steve, of Evansville; three brothers, Roy Shannon and wife, Charlotte Shannon, of Lincoln, Leroy Shannon and wife, Karen, of Cane Hill and Jim Shannon and wife, Gloria, of Fort Smith; three sisters, Juanita Anderson, and husband, Don, of Farmington, Benita Aston and husband, Bill, of Huntsville and Querita Faddis and husband, Joe, of Prairie Grove; 11 grandchildren: Kurt Reed, Kyle Reed, Kasey Reed, Roger Reed II, Dustin Reed, Josh Reed, Nikki Rochier, Brandi Cossey, Destinee Thompson, Jada Thompson and Christina White; 13 great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.

Viewing will be Monday from 12-1 p.m. prior to the funeral service.

Funeral service will be held Monday, Dec. 28, 2015, 1 p.m., at the First Assembly of God
in Lincoln.

Burial will be in Beaty Cemetery; there will be no graveside services held at the cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Joshua Reed, Kurt Reed, Kyle Reed, Kasey Reed, Roger Reed II, Dustin Reed, Billy Rochier and Jason Cossey.
