Arvel Lee Pippin, age 83, of Ozark, Arkansas died Tuesday January 19, 2021 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was an electrician retired from OG&E and attended Webb City Baptist Church and Cowboy Church in Ozark. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. Arvel loved cattle ranching, cutting and bailing hay on his farm, and his numerous travels to Alaska. He was born August 24, 1937 in Ozark to R.A. and Cleo Gates Pippin. He was preceded in death by his parents and friend Wanda Pippin.

He is survived by two sons, Rick Pippin and wife Barbara of Huntsville, Texas and Todd Pippin and wife Marsha of Charleston, Arkansas; one daughter, Shelly Edgmon and husband Mike of Muskogee, Oklahoma; one brother, Kenneth Pippin and wife Kathy of Russellville, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Rachel Hannon and husband Daniel, Bailey Eller and wife Maranda, all of Muskogee, Kyle Pippin and wife Breanna of Dardanelle, Arkansas, Eric Pippin and Diane of Greenwood, Arkansas, Ryan Farris and wife Tara of Little Rock, Arkansas and Amy Martin and husband Jeremy of Van Buren, Arkansas; and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Zach Belt officiating and burial at Cemetery Ridge Cemetery under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.
Serving as pallbearers are Bailey Eller, Daniel Hannon, Eric and Kyle Pippin, Jeremy Martin and Ryan Farris.

Visitation will be held at 5:00 until 7:00 PM Wednesday, January 20th at Shaffer Funeral Home, 2315 West Commercial Street in Ozark.
