Johnny Wayne Benton, 74, passed away January 16, 2018 in Van Buren, AR. He pastored for 33 years. He loved the Lord.
He was born December 09, 1943 in Thomasville, GA to the late Bryrant Benton and Marion Hendry Benton. Also, preceded in death is two sisters Anita Grosser and Jackie Little; three brothers including his twin brother Charlie Benton, Jimmie Benton, and Jerry Benton.
Funeral Service will be 2 PM Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Smith Mortuary Chapel with burial following at Cecil Cemetery under the direction of Smith Mortuary, Charleston, AR. Rev. Larry Huffman will officiate.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Linda Stricklin Benton, two daughters Sonia Parham and husband David and Janice Bynog and husband Gary; two sons Craig Benton and wife Amber and Shane Benton and wife Nancy (Pooh); four sisters Josephine Morris, Aleta Bingman, Sue Hatcher, and Rita Mueller; and seven grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday January 19, 2018 6PM to 8PM at the funeral home.
