Mrs. Finger Dies In Springdale
Mrs. Charles J. Finger, 84, died in a Springdale nursing home yesterday. She was born in San Angelo, Tex., the daughter of Christopher and Bejaia Neilson Ferguson. She was married in 1901 to Charles J. Finger, well known author. Their home west of the city was a literary center during the 1920's and 1930's. She was a member of the Fayetteville Garden Club, the Mount Zion Home Demonstration Club and St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
Survivors are three sons, Hubert of Jackson, Mich., Charles J. of Little Rock and Herbert E. of Ruston, La.; two daughters, Mrs. Felix Helbing of Cincinnati, Ohio and Mrs. Robert A. Leflar of Fayetteville; a brother, George Ferguson of Douglas, Ariz.; a sister, Mrs. Emil Finger of Merriam, Kan.; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral will he at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church with burial in the Farmington Cemetery under direction of Watson Mortuary.
