James Guy Yeager, 85, died Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at his home in Bearden. He was born November 25, 1929 in Bearden, Arkansas. He retired from Little Rock Air Force Base and he also served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He is preceded in death by his parents, Guy Yeager and Quinnie Richardson Yeager; daughter, Katheryn Yeager; one brother, Jesse Yeager, and one sister, Emma Frances Griffith. He is survived by two sons, Kenneth Yeager of Bearden, Jim Yeager and wife Crystal of Smackover; four grandchildren, Lindsey Yeager of Bearden, Sydney Wright and husband Greg of Smackover, Braxton Yeager and wife Olivia of Fayetteville, and Kayleigh Yeager of Smackover; one great grandchild, Charter Rain of Bearden; three ex daughters-in-law, Linda Lamb of Bearden, Dorothy Yeager of North Little Rock and Brenda Salerno of Bearden; extended family, Jean Dorey, Brayden Newton and Blair Newton all of Bearden. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Southern Baptist Church in Bearden or First United Methodist Church in Bearden. Visitation will be Thursday 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Benton Funeral Home in Bearden. Graveside services will be 10:00 am Friday at Moss Cemetery in Bearden with Rev. Andy Hughes officiating.
