July 29, 1910 - February 25, 1964
Daniel F. Cloud, 53, former resident of Stephens, died Tuesday night at his home in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Following a heart attack. He was a native of Lafayette County, Arkansas and was employed by Southern Union Gas Co. in Albuquerque. Mr. Cloud was a Baptist and a Mason. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mildred Summers Cloud, three sisters, Mrs. Ralph Linkous, Mrs. E. A. Carter, both of Stephens, and Mrs. George Hughes of Caballo, New Mexico; fifteen nieces and nephews. The body will arrive in Little Rock on Saturday and be brought to Stephens where it will lie in state in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Linkous until the funeral, which will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 in the First Baptist Church of Stephens. Reverend Hugh Cantrell will officiate. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Burial will be in Moss Cemetery in Bearden with Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce in charge of arrangements.
