February 8, 1889 - November 5, 1947
V. N. Gibson, aged 58 years, well known resident of Bearden and former mail carrier, died at the home of his sister-in-law, Mrs. J. W. Works, in McNeil, Wednesday afternoon. He is survived by two sons, William of Bearden, and Aubrey of Ashkum, Illinois; three sisters, Mrs. M. L. Aldridge of Fordyce, Mrs. M. A. Hanson of Big Spring, Texas, and Mrs. J. W. Blackman of Prescott. Funeral services will be held at the Bearden Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Friday, with Rev. R. C. Walsh and W. W. Fincher officiating. Proctor Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial in Moss Cemetery, near Bearden. (Camden News - November 7, 1947)
