David Joseph Kinney Sr., 84, of Ozark died Wednesday, March 9, 2016, in Ozark.
He was born Dec. 21, 1931, in Enid, Okla to Richard Jefferson Kinney, Sr. and Edith Elizabeth Stutzman Kinney.

He was a retired property manager of Contran Corp., a member of First Baptist Church in Ozark and former president of the Arkansas State Horticultural Society.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Janice Evonne Higgins; two sisters, Kaye Lester and Bettye Hurley; and two brothers, Jack Kinney and Richard J. Kinney, Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Janice Hicks Kinney of Ozark; two daughters, Cheryl Snyder and husband Mike of Tucson, Arizona, and Linda Millsap and husband Paul of Ozark; a son, Davey Joe Kinney, Jr. and his wife Tina also of Ozark; and eight grandchildren: Kenny Millsap; Chelsea and Daniel Hawes, Michael Millsap, Taylor Kinney, Mattie Snyder, Sam Kinney, and Catherine Kinney.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 12th at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Ted Darling officiating and burial at Highland Cemetery under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.

Pallbearers will be Kenny and Michael Millsap, Daniel Hawes, Taylor and Sam Kinney and Brett King ; serving as honorary pallbearers are granddaughters, Chelsea Hawes, Mattie Snyder, and Catherine Snyder, Lonnie Turner, C. A. Kuykendall, T. F. White, James Wayne Nichols, Warren Rudolph, John McCreary, Dee Gober, and Jack McCormick.

March 23, 1935 - May 13, 2019

Janice Elizabeth Kinney a longtime resident of Ozark, Arkansas passed from this life on Monday, May 13, 2019 at her home surrounded by loved ones. She was a homemaker, a member of the First Baptist Church in Ozark and a lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She was born March 23, 1935 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to Delmer and Mattie Shelby Hicks and raised in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of sixty years, David Kinney and her cherished daughter Jan Evonne Higgins.
Janice always enjoyed visiting wither many friends in Ozark and attending monthly birthday celebrations wither close-knit-extended family. Her greatest joy in life was being surrounded by her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Janice will be lovingly remembered by her remaining children, Cheryl Snyder and husband Mike of Tucson, Arizona, Linda Millsap and husband Paul and Davey Joe and wife Tina all of Ozark; her grandchildren, Kenny and Michael Millsap, Chelsea Howes and husband Daniel, Taylor Kinney and wife Angel, Sam Kinney, Mattie and Catherine Snyder; great grandchildren, Aiden Kinney and Amelia Hawes. She will be missed by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
Family will visit with friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Wednesday, May 15th at Shaffer Funeral Home, 2315 West Commercial Street in Ozark.
Funeral service will be held 10:00 AM Thursday, May 16, 2019 at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Ted Darling officiating and burial at Highland Cemetery under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.
