Johnny Glenn Bennett, 65, of Star City, born February 11, 1954, in Warren and died March 14, 2019, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center after a 32 day stay at hospital and a 7 year battle with leukemia.

Johnny was retired from International Paper/Evergreen Packaging. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, family, friends and spreading the gospel about Jesus.

Preceded in death by his parents, Melba Sue Lily and Daniel “Buddy” Bennett; 3 brothers, Daniel Bennett, Kelly Bennett and Tony Bennett.

Survived by his “Bride” of 27 years, Dana Parker Bennett; 3 daughters, Hunter Bennett of Star City, Melanie Fitzgibbon and Amber Holland, both of Woodlawn; 5 grandchildren, Madison, Anna and Jackson Fitzgibbon, Grace and Addison Holland, all of Woodlawn; 1 brother, Tommy Bennett; 4 sisters, Janie Sullivan, Lorrie Sorrells, Pat Bennett and Betty Sue Pearce, all of Star City; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a few great friends.
