Deborah "Debi" Bellows Provencal, 61, a longtime resident of Gravette, died unexpectedly on May 9, 2020, while making a donation at the Care and Share secondhand store in Gravette.

She was born in Tulsa, Okla., on Aug. 25, 1958, the only child of Otis Grant Bellows and Barbara Ansley Bellows. She attended school in Tulsa, where she met her longtime best friend, Debbie Hunter Sawyer. Shortly after graduating from high school, she married Lester Saunders and relocated to Gravette. She gave birth to two daughters, Lindsey and Amy, but over the years also unofficially adopted her two heart-daughters, Peggy and Cassie. On Oct. 27, 2014, she married Martin Provencal, in Rogers, and the two of them called Gravette their home until her death. She was of the Christian faith.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother.

She is survived by her husband, Martin Provencal; stepson, Jonathan Provencal and his wife Alex; daughters, Lindsey Newman and her husband Daniel, Amy Garrett, Peggy Hadley, Cassie Drake and her husband Tyler; and grandchildren, Addie and Joey Drake.

In lieu of a funeral, there will be a public graveside memorial at 11 a.m. on May 30 at Bethel Cemetery in Gravette. Friends, family and acquaintances are welcome to attend.

Arrangements are by Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory.
