Virginia "Frances" Steelman, 86, of Bearden died Thursday, June 03, 2010 at her home. She was born April 18, 1924 in Eagle Mills, Arkansas a daughter of the late Harry Francis Hurst and Ida Joy Graham Hurst Whitley. Frances was a member of First United Methodist Church in Bearden. Frances received her beautician license in 1947 and until recent weeks was still taking care of her clients. She is survived by her husband Bobby Steelman of Bearden; one son and daughter-in-law, Matt and Lana Jones of Benton; three daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry and Frank Haywood of Bigelow, Lee Jael Krien of Gainesville, GA, Frances Gene and Russell Fridell of Bearden; one brother, Jimmy Whitley of Quitman; seven grandchildren, Perry Henry of Morrilton, Russ, Caroline and Vanna Fridell all of Bearden, Jordan Jones of Rogers, Grant and Reagan Jones both of Benton; and one great-grandchild, Austin Henry of Little Rock. Visitation will be Friday 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Benton Funeral Home in Bearden. Memorials may be made to Doctor's Home Care Hospice PO Box 797 Camden, AR 71701 or to First Southern Baptist Church Youth Fund PO Box 449 Bearden, AR 71720. Graveside services will be 11:00 am Saturday at Moss Hill Cemetery in Bearden with Dr. Mike Montalbano and Jackie Bevill officiating. Arrangements by Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce/Bearden.
