Kenneth L. Weast, 84 of Star City, passed away Thursday, January 23, 2020 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock.

He was born August 16, 1935 in Pottsville to the late Roy and Edna Satterfield Weast.

Kenneth was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Star City. He was a hardworking man that loved to build just about anything and loved to drive his John Deere tractor. He was the retired owner/operator of Weast Construction and was a former Lincoln County Constable and Deputy Sheriff for several years. He loved to fly and was a licensed pilot. But, most of all he loved his family.

Also preceding him in death were 5 brothers, Huley, Charles, Dooley, Gene and Irvin Weast. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Billie Harris Weast; 2 daughters, Kim Weast and Shelly Hughes (Scott) McGee; 2 brothers, Roger Weast and Jerry Weast; sister, Betty Lou Gates, all of Star City; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services are 2:00PM Sunday, January 26, 2020 at First Assembly of God Church with Bro. Kyle Hughes and Bro. Don Borland officiating. Visitation is 6:00-8:00PM Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Griffin Funeral Service.

Burial at Hickory Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers are Matthew Hughes, Brian Pickens, Brad Caldwell, Chris Sherrill, Starsky Weast, and Mike Weast. Honorary pallbearers are Jeff Blakeslee, Austin Davis, Ronnie Weast, Donnie Weast, Hutch Weast and Chuck Willis.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: First Assembly of God Church-Building Fund, 306 S. Jefferson St., Star City, AR 71667.

Billie "Gee Gee" Harris Weast, 83 of Star City passed away Sunday, May 31, 2020 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. She was born January 22, 1937 in Butler to the late E. A (Jack) and Clara Meeks Harris. She was a Charter Member of First Assembly of God Church in Star City, where she was a very active member, whether it be teaching Sunday School or activities for Women's Ministry Group.

She was a retired administrator and L.P.N for Beverly Enterprise/Star City Nursing Center. Also preceding her in death were her husband, Kenneth L. Weast; sister, Joanne Borland; and 3 brothers, Dr. Russell Harris, Dr. Raymond Harris and Dr. Wayne Harris.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Kim Weast and Shelly Hughes (Scott) McGee, of Star City; sister, Geraldine (Temon) Jenkins of Glen Rose; 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at Hickory Grove Cemetery with Bro. Kyle Hughes and Bro. Don Borland officiating. Visitation is 6:00-8:00PM Tuesday at Griffin Funeral Service.
