MORGAN, Agnes Mary SMITH - Agnes Mary Smith was born at Maquoketa, Jackson county, Iowa March 20, 1862; died at her home five miles west of Gravette, Ark. at 11 p.m. Jan. 14, 1921, aged fifty-nine years, nine months and twenty-four days. She was united in marriage to Walter A. Morgan Feb. 25, 1880. To this union were born six children: H.A.; F.E.; E.V.; Walter, who died at the age of three years; G.F. and B.F., all of whom, except Walter, reside here at home. There are also two granddaughters, Beulah and Inez. Two brothers, Ed Smith of Preston, Ia. and Milton Smith of Spragueville, Ia. and one sister, Mrs. A.P. Risinger of Spragueville and the husband also survive. Early in life she professed religion and later joined the Methodist church and was a faithful member until death. She was kind hearted, a devoted and faithful wife and mother, always working in the interests of her family and bearing her affliction without murmur or complaint. In 1903 she moved to Nebraska with her husband where they resided until 1916 when the family moved to the home where she passed away. The funeral was conducted Sunday afternoon by Rev. W.H. Gayer and interment was made in the Odd Fellows cemetery at Gravette. The News Herald speaks for the community in offering the bereaved ones condolence.

(from Gravette) Mrs. W.A. Morgan died of cancer at her home four miles southwest of Gravette last Saturday and was buried in the I.O.O.F. cemetery Sunday afternoon. She was about sixty years of age. She leaves her husband and several grown children, most of whom live near the Morgan home.
