Gene Weast, 78 of Star City passed away Thursday at his home.
He was born in Pottsville to the late Roy and Edna Satterfield Weast.
He attended First Assembly of God Church in Star City, was a veteran of the National Guard, was a retired construction worker and Ringman and was a member of Woodmen of the World.
Also preceding him in death were 4 brothers, Charles Weast, Dooley Weast, Huley Weast and Irvin Weast.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Rauls Weast of Star City; son, Michael (Paula) Weast of Star city; daughter, Carol (Bruce) Brown of Sardis, TN; 3 brothers, Kenneth Weast, Roger Weast and Jerry Weast; sister, Betty Lou Gates, all of Star City; 3 grandchildren, Jonathan (Kasey) Weast, Danielle (Brandon) Robertson and Lauren (Jason) Williams; and 5 great-grandchildren, Ty Socia, Kendall Socia, Joslyn Robertson, Abigail Weast and Olivia Weast.
Funeral services are 2:00PM Sunday at Griffin Funeral Chapel with Bro. Mike Howell and Bro. Don Borland officiating.
Visitation is 6:00-8:00PM Saturday at the funeral home.
Burial at Hickory Grove cemetery.
Pallbearers are Starsky Weast, Hutch Weast, R.J. Weast, David Rauls, Chris Weast and Brad Weast.
