Lloyd E. Parker, Sr., son of the late Marion Parker and Jessie Simmons Parker Matthews, was born February 26, 1926 in Izard County, Arkansas. He departed this life March 6, 2020 at the age of 94.

Lloyd spent his life as loving son, brother, husband, uncle, father, grandfather great grandfather, businessman and friend.

Lloyd proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II Pacific Campaign. He was united in marriage to Genevieve Lawrence and together they raised one son. After her death, Lloyd remarried Virginia Cunningham. Lloyd owned and operated several businesses in Melbourne, the most recent was Parker Meat Company. Lloyd loved working and managing his farms were he raised hogs and cattle. At one time he and Genevieve were the recipient of Izard County Farm Family of the Year award.

Lloyd is survived by one son: Lloyd Parker, Jr and wife Peggy of Pottsville; ; two grandchildren: Gina Pawlicki and husband Jon of Russellville and Lanny Brock Parker and wife Melaina of Chesapeake, Virginia; eight great grandchildren: Andy Parker of Jacksonville, North Carolina, Alyssa Parker of Jacksonville, Florida, Joseph Parker of Norfolk, Virginia, Keira Kenas of Chesapeake, Virginia, Sadie Saul, Jada Saul, Karley Saul, Journey Saul all of Russellville; numerous great nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two wives; one sister: Inez Parker Neal; one infant son and two great grandsons: Mason Parker Saul and Seth Jordan Saul.

Graveside funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 10 beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Melbourne Cemetery with Military Honors under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.
