Obituary
Dennis Leroy Chapman Sr., 66, of White Hall, passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2014.
He was born February 28, 1948 in Sheridan, Arkansas to the late Earnest Leroy and Sadie Eveline Baker Chapman. He graduated from Dollarway Schools in 1966 and attended college at UAM (Monticello). He was a United Sates Army SP 5 Vietnam Veteran. Dennis was a retired letter carrier for the United Postal Service after 35 years. He enjoyed swimming with his grandchildren, horse racing and the casinos.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and step-father, Troy Ferguson.
Mr. Chapman is survived by his wife, Loretta ‘Lori' Perdue Chapman, whom he married June 8, 1968; Son, Dennis Leroy Chapman Jr. of Rison; daughter, Carey (Don) Nobles of Pine Bluff; four grandchildren, Jacob Chapman, Zachary, Cassidy, and Haley Jo Nobles; sisters, Marie (Billy) McGriff and Carolyn (James) Shipman both of Star City; brothers, Larry Chapman of Pine Bluff and Thomas Chapman of Rison; a host of nieces and nephews; and a special group of children that came and swam at the pool that called him Mr. C.
Cremated, cremains buried in Hickory Grove Cemetery.
