June 28, 1896 - August 26, 1966
J. D. Bodenhamer, 70, died in Hot Springs Friday afternoon. Born June 28, 1896, in Goldthwaite, Tex., he was the son of John R. and Anna Lee Bodenhamer. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Madeline Smith Bodenhamer; one daughter, Mrs. Ray Cole of Little Rock; one grandson, Bill Cole of Little Rock; and one brother, R. C. Bodenhamer of El Dorado. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Gross Funeral Home, Hot Springs. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. at the Wesley Chapel, East Main Road, with Rev. James Blankenship officiating. Rumph Mortuary is in charge. Pallbearers will be Lee King, Malvern Hendrix, J. D. Acker, Ray Acker, Harry Bodenhamer and Bill Cole.
