DOUGLAS, James B. - Mr. Douglas, father of Bert Douglas, salesman for the Benton County Hardware company, died last night at his home in the Hightop neighborhood west of Bentonville, and funeral services were held this afternoon at 2:30 at Centerton with interment in the Centerton cemetery. He is survived by his wife, four sons and one daughter.

James B. Douglas, 70 years of age, died recently from influenza followed by pneumonia at his home near Centerton. He was born in Tennessee and had lived in Benton county since 1882, having conducted one of the pioneer mercantile establishments and post offices of the county. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lou Ella Baker Douglas; one daughter, Miss Sylvia May Douglas; four sons, Bert Douglas of Bentonville, traveling salesman for the Benton County Hardware company; Earl Douglas of Bentonville; Paul and Elmer Douglas of Gravette; one brother, Sam Douglas of Jonesboro, Tenn.; and two sisters, Mrs. Lydia DeVault and Mrs. Ella White, both of Johnson City, Tenn.
