William Buddy McGriff, 85 of Star City died Tuesday at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. He was born June 6, 1929 in Star City to the late Robert Monroe and Fannie Lillian Vermillion McGriff. He was a member of Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church, was a bus mechanic and bus driver for Star City Schools, a member of Pigeon Roost Hunting Club, an avid hunter and fisherman and was a jack of all trades.
Also preceding him in death were 5 brothers, Arthur McGriff, Hoyt Pierce, Monroe McGriff, Clyde McGriff and Chester McGriff; 5 sisters, Beatrice McGriff, Emogine Reynolds, Edna Nutt, Ollie McRae and Irene Nowlin.
