William Virgil (Bubba) Glover, Jr. passed away on April 12, 2015.

He was born August 28, 1923, in England, AR. He was the son of the late Virgil Glover Sr. and Cora Edna Glover.

He was a Deacon and the Music Director of the Hickory Grove Baptist Church.

He served in the Army Air Corps in the South Pacific during World War II.

He volunteered at the Gardner Nursing Home for 22 years. Before retirement, he taught English, French, and art at Star City High School.

He was preceded in death by three infant siblings; brothers, Wayne and Billy; and a sister, Cora Lee Boyette.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Eloise McBryde Glover; and one son, Bill Glover and wife Paula. Surviving siblings are Corinne Glover, Betty Woodward, Glen Glover, Lenora Whitehead, Gerald Glover and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was Monday, April 13, from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Griffin Funeral Service in Star City. Bro. Bill Hilburn will conduct funeral services Tuesday, April 14 at 2:00PM at Griffin Funeral Service.

Burial wii be at Hickory Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Patrick McCurry, Ricky Petty, Thomas Fish, Paul Moore, Steve Moore and Randy Newton. Honorary pallbearers are Jim Towers, Brandon King, Keith Griffin and Tamarcus Hegwood.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Baptist Children’s Home, 222 W. Pope St., Monticello, AR 71655.
