January 21, 1892 - November 15, 1967
Mrs. Lucy Ripley Moody, 75, died Wednesday in a local hospital. Mrs. Moody, who resided on Rt. 3, was the widow of Jess Moody and was of the Methodist faith. She was born Jan. 21, 1892, the daughter of Sid and Nettie Webb Ripley and was a lifelong resident of Union County. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. James R. Boggan and Mrs. Miller J. Douglas, both of El Dorado; three sisters, Mrs. Robert B. Spencer of Little Rock; Mrs. Charles I. Reeves of Stinnett, Tex.; and Mrs. Percy L. Humphries of Van Nuys, Calif.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in Young's chapel with Rev. Ralph E. Hale officiating. Burial will be in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery. (El Dorado Times - November 16, 1967)
