Wife of Bob and Biggs Webb
January 23, 1873 - May 18, 1964
Mrs. Laura Marguret Webb, 91, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Chester Norris, 701 E. Pecan St., at 8 p.m. Monday following a long illness. She was born Jan. 23, 1873, in Union County, and was the daughter of William Henry and Fannie McKennie Jerry. She was a lifelong resident of the county and a member of the Urbana Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Ike Webb and Emon Webb, both of Urbana; eight daughters, Mrs. Nora Johnson of El Dorado, Mrs. J. L. Tillman of Urbana, Mrs. Adlee Walton of El Dorado, Mrs. Betty Johnson of Little Rock, Mrs. W. L. Faulk of El Dorado, Mrs. Chester Norris of El Dorado, Mrs. Bobby Nash of Natchez, Miss. and Mrs. Billy Agerton of Urbana; 35 grandchildren, 79 great grandchildren and 16 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Urbana Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul Starnes officiating, assisted by the Rev. Don Laing. Burial will be in Old Union Cemetery under the direction of Rumph Mortuary. Pallbearers will be these grandsons of Mrs. Webb: J. W. Humphries, Tommy Norris, Gerald Jacobs, Wesley Webb, J. E. Johnson and Robert Tillman. The body will be taken to the church at p.m. The family will be at the Emon Web residence. (The El Dorado Times - May 19, 1964)
